Ships were never more than a passing interest to me. I never liked water. For some reason, I like airplanes.
But if a ship has a wing, things become interesting.
I dabbled briefly in hydrofoils , and in sail wing design, and I had a look at whale tail propulsion.
Ship propulsions holds more interest for me ships proper, maybe because the link to aircraft technology is more obvious. In addition to sailwings, whale tails, and rotor wings, my work on aircraft propellers also applies one-on-one to ship propellers.
