My name is Piet Lammertse, pronounced : Piet Lammertse.

I was born in Amsterdam in 1951, and I have always lived in the Netherlands. I am an aircraft engineer by training ( MSc Delft Technical University, 1985, Aircraft Stability & Control ).

  I spent the best part of my life in R & D departments, first in aerospace and then in ( haptic ) robotics.

  Over the years I supervised some 100 university graduation theses from interns. I am now retired, and I miss the work and the company.

  This website is my way of sharing what I think I learned, and would like to con­tinue working on.

This website touches on many subjects as they came up in my work, or just because they piqued my interest.

I do not pretend to write complete textbooks ( with the exception of what is essentially my book on propellers ).

I feel more useful cherry-picking items that are normally glossed over or misrepresented in standard textbooks.
